Daniele Zennaro, head chef of the Vecio Fritolin, has been chosen by Gusto Cortina for the opening gala evening of this eagerly-anticipated food & wine event, on Saturday 15 June.
Gusto Cortina, the international showcase for excellence in food & wine and Italian vinitourism, will once again this year play host to numerous producers and important buyers, who will take part in tastings, conventions, workshops and exclusive meetings in renowned locations around Cortina d’Ampezzo, on Sunday 16 and Monday 17 June. There will be a succession of tastings,
meetings and conventions, and over one hundred food & wine producers and tourism entrepreneurs will open the doors to the public and to the most influential figures in food & wine journalism, as well as to the eagerly-awaited importers.
The star attraction of the long-awaited Opening Party Gusto Cortina, in the exclusive VIP Club di Cortina restaurant, will be cuisine provided by the Vecio Fritolin and Daniele Zennaro. Zennaro was chosen by the Gusto Cortina organisers for his creativity and for his ability to capture the true spirit of the events that he organises and follows. The chef will provide Gusto Cortina with catering excellence, using the produce of the event’s participating companies.
There have been a few hints from the kitchens, but, as yet, nothing is certain about the menu that chef Zennaro will serve for the Opening of Gusto Cortina. No doubt, there will be cured meats and cheeses from the Antica Corte Pallavicina di Terre Verdi, and the first courses couldn’t be without Carla Latini‘s Meregalli pasta. Amongst the puddings, we will surely see creations using Ciocolella chocolate. We expect all this and much more!
